Appeal for witnesses following sexual assault |
||
|
Hello Resident, We are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault in Buckingham yesterday. A teenage girl was walking through woodland on a public footpath near Maids Moreton Avenue, Page Hill, when she saw a man talking to himself sometime between 1pm and 2pm. As she walked past, the man grabbed her, and tried to remove her clothing but she fought him off and escaped. The offender is described as a black man in his twenties, around 6ft tall, of medium build, with brown hair and a tattoo on the back of his hand. He was wearing a mask, a white vest, blue baggy jeans and red Converse trainers. This is a concerning incident but we are doing everything we can to support the victim, find the offender and protect the wider public. We have numerous police officers in the area as a result, including detectives and uniformed Neighbourhood officers, and our Mounted Section will be on patrol later today, so please speak to us if you can help or have any concerns. Anyone with information or concerns should speak to a uniformed police officer, call 101, make a report on our website or visit a police station, quoting reference number 43260142415. A scene has been put in place where the sexual assault happened while we investigate. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Kind regards, | ||
